There is no proposal to increase the retirement age of IAS and IPS officers, the government said on Thursday. "There is no such proposal for enhancement of retirement age of IAS and IPS officer and to bring the same at par with the retirement age of judges of Supreme Court and High Courts," Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions Jitendra Singh told Rajya Sabha in a written reply.

An officer of Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and Indian Police Service (IPS) retires after attaining the age of 60 years.
