The Delhi Police's bizarre plan would get popular support in the Middle Ages.

Victim-shaming is one of the worst aspects of rape culture and a major hurdle in combatting the menace but it seems like we are just not ready to move on from that hang-up.
After a Twitter user shared a story about men looking to abduct girls near Hauz Khas village, the police think the solution is to prevent women from drinking.
According to an article in the Nav Bharat Times (NBT), Delhi Police has deemed that such parties disrupt law and order and have asked pubs to end ‘ladies’ nights’.
Instead of focussing on improving the law-and-order situation and deterring would-be rapists, the Delhi Police, in all its infinite wisdom has instead decided to target adults who would like to let their hair down.
The NBT report quotes South Delhi’s DCP Ishwar Singh as saying that some pubs and bars in Hauz Khas Village host night parties for women on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and that hampers the ‘law and order’ situation in the area. He said that all establishments would be asked to not host such parties.
Women complaint of alleged Hauz Khas molestation by miscreants.
