Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Aditynath on Tuesday said that his government, which completed six months in power on Tuesday, has removed 'jungle raj' from the state.

“It was priority to rid UP of jungle raj. Happy that hard work by ministers has instilled sense of confidence in people,” the Chief Minister was quoted as saying by the ANI.

A day earlier, the Yogi government had issued a 'White Paper' on the “failures” of the previous BSP and SP state governments in the last 15 years.

Stressing on the fact that the state has been peaceful since the BJP came to power, CM Yogi said, “since March 2017, there hasn’t been a single incident of riot.”

The Chief Minister also spoke about various schemes launched by his government.

“For welfare of farmers, we started the system to provide them tube wells and solar pumps,” he said.

“Our revenue department brought in a good initiative. If permitted to link khatian to Aadhaar there won't be false registry or any fraud,” he added.

He also spoke about measure to tackle land mafia.

“We're launching systematic drive which will help government retrieve 1,000 hectares of land which have been in grips of land mafia since years,” he said.

The BJP came to power after a bumper mandate in 2017 Assembly Elections in Uttar Pradesh.

The party came to power with the biggest mandate since Indira Gandhi's stunning victory in 1980.
