Union Minister Kalraj Mishra on Friday said there is no exaggeration if a person living in "Hindustan" is referred to as a "Hindu" abroad. "There is no exaggeration if a person living in Hindustan is referred to as a Hindu abroad...a person going out is called a Hindu Muslim or Hindu Christian meaning a person living in Hindustan," Mishra told PTI.

Elaborating on this, Mishra cited the High Courts and Supreme Court, which in their judgements, "have mentioned about the 2000-year-old ancient quotes and said that Hinduism is a way of life...a philosophy."
"Hinduism is a nationality ...it does not discriminate on caste and biradari (community) and if anyone levels any charges, they need to study more," Mishra said.
