DMK working President and leader of the opposition in the Tamil Nadu assembly, MK Stalin has slammed the ruling AIADMK in the state for opposing the no-confidence motion in the Lok Sabha

According to Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar, AIADMK voted against the motion, which ensured that Modi government got 325 votes. AIADMK isn't part of NDA and Amit Shah in his recent trip to Chennai repeatedly raised the issue of corruption in the state. Yet, AIADMK in several issued have sided with BJP in the Parliament. Friday was no exception. But it prompted a strong response from Stalin.

He tweeted,

'Support for Modi Govt in #NoConfidence despite NEET, 15th Finance Commission, GST, Hindi imposition and communal politics is further proof of the quid pro quo arrangement between ADMK and BJP. IT raids on Chief Minister Edapadi Palaniswami's family have achieved their objective'.

So in essence according to DMK, AIADMK has been forced to support the Modi government after tax raids on EPS' family. It listed out issues like GST, NEET language issue, allocation of funds under 15th Finance Commission as some of the topics where Tamil Nadu governemnt and political parties at large have opposed Centre's policies. Despite such issues, AIADMK supported the Modi government.

Earlier Ananth Kumar confirmed about the development saying, " We  got support from parties outside the NDA. The AIADMK supported us. BJD and the TRS walked out".
