NITI Aayog Vice-Chairman Dr Rajiv Kumar on Tuesday called on Sikkim Chief Minister Pawan Kumar Chamling and assured him support for development of the state.

NITI Aayog Vice-Chairman Dr Rajiv Kumar on Tuesday called on Sikkim Chief Minister Pawan Kumar Chamling and assured him support for development of the state.
During the meeting with Chamling, Kumar praised the Himalayan state for the developments achieved by it, an official release said.
He also gave assurance to him that the NITI Aayog would support the state government for development of the state.
The state government sought funds for a multi-speciality hospital at Sichey and upgradation of roads in the district.
The state government officials also stressed on revenue generating sectors such as hydro-power, organic farming and tourism, the release said.
