The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday arrested two youth as part of their probe into the alleged module of Islamic State (IS) in Hyderabad. The agency claimed that the two youth have allegedly emerged as key members of the module that was busted last month with the arrest of five youth and detention of six others.

One of those arrested today is Naimatullah Hussaini who was earlier detained by the agency for questioning on multiple occasions only to be released. NIA now claims that Hussaini was in fact the Ameer (Head) of the module busted by its investigators thus averting possible terror strikes in India.

According to agency officials, investigators arrested Mohamad Ataullah Rehman (32) and 42-year-old Naimatullah on Tuesday morning morning. The duo were produced before the NIA Special Court where the agency was granted their custody for eight days. While Niamatullah, a resident of Hyderabad's Moghalpura area, worked at a garments shop in Khairatabad, Ataullah has a Masters degree in English and taught the language in capacity of a private tutor in a centre offering crash courses for TOEFL.

Speaking to dna, a senior NIA official said, "Ataullah Rehman has been arrested for his key role in the conspiracy. He was involved in radicalising the group members and he also administered Bayáh - oath of allegiance - to the Khalifa- Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi, to the group members".

Elaborating on the alleged role of Naimatullah, the suspected head of the Hyderabad module, an NIA official said that the 42-year-old was arrested for allegedly 'contributing money to the terrorist fund collected by the members of the group'. He was appointed as the 'Ameer' of the group and participated in key conspiracy meetings, the officer said.

"The five persons arrested by NIA in the case on June 29, 2016 were produced before NIA Special Court on Tuedsta, on completion of 12 days of police custody. Whereas three accused have been sent to judicial custody by the NIA Special Court, accused Ibrahim Yazdani and Ilyas Yazdani have been remanded to police custody for a further period of eight days, on a prayer moved by the prosecutor for NIA," the officer further said.

On Friday NIA said that Ibrahim Yazdani, had applied for admission in AYDIN University, Turkey for Masters in Electrical and Electronics. Ibrahim, who belongs to Talab Katta locality of Hyderabad's Aman Nagar area were allegedly in touch with the handler based out of Iraq or Syria.

Iliyas is said to have dropped out of his graduation course and was working in Shalimar Online Seva, which is located close to the local police station in Talab Katta. Shalimar Online Seva, according to its online description, is like many private vendors used by the government to distribute pan cards, birth certificates and other identification documents.

According to agency officials Ibrahim had the role of 'Raabit' , the communications in charge while his brother Iliyas was put in charge of religious affairs of the module.
