New Shatabdi Express to connect Chandigarh and New Delhi

Having taken over as the railways minister, Chandigarh MP Pawan Kumar Bansal is all set to gift a new train to Chandigarh, connecting it to New Delhi.

Having taken over as the railways minister, Chandigarh MP Pawan Kumar Bansal is all set to gift a new train to Chandigarh, connecting it to New Delhi.

A new Shatabdi Express will be flagged off from Chandigarh by Bansal on Monday morning.

The new train will leave Chandigarh at 11 40am and reach New Delhi at 3pm. The return trip from New Delhi will start at 7 15pm.

This will be the third Shatabdi Express to connect Chandigarh and New Delhi, a distance of 250 km.

Both cities are already connected by two Shatabdi Express trains (each side, morning and evening).
