New round of admission is going to start soon in the state for students presently studying in private colleges as the state government has opened new courses as well as new government colleges across the state.
The state government has opened 15 new government colleges in the state. Of this, two colleges have been started in Indore district. Students who were admitted in private colleges through the centralised online admission process in July this year will be eligible to take admission in these new colleges.
"It is a good opportunity for students already studying in private colleges to take admission in these newly opened government colleges the admission process for which has already been initiated," said additional director higher education Dr Narendra Dhakad. Only first semester students admitted this year will be eligible, he said.
Students can submit their application for admission till August 30 and the result will be announced on September 5.
The higher education department has recruited experienced faculty members in these newly opened colleges. So far, there were six government colleges in Indore offering professional courses.
The department has instructed colleges to strictly have minimum five members in the admission committee for every 100 vacant seats in different courses offered by the college.
