NEET 2018 declared by CBSE: Check your result on cbseneet.nic.in

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released the NEET 2018 result at 1 PM on June 4. The result will be hosted on the official website – www.cbseneet.nic.in. You can also check your results on cbseresults.nic.in

The CBSE which is the official organisers of the national medical exam will prepare the merit list as part of the directives of the DGHS, MCI and DCI.

CBSE had released the answer key on May 25 and gave students the opportunity to raise objections till May 27.

The cut-off rate is likely to drop this year considering it was a difficult paper. The qualifying percentage for General category will likely be around 50%.

An official notification said: “As soon as the result is ready, CBSE will host the results on the website and thereafter candidates may download the Result Sheets.”

Here's how you can check NEET 2018 result

1. Visit cbseneet.nic.in or cbseresults.nic.in

2. Click on 'NEET results 2018'

3. Enter your details like roll number and other required information

4. Click on 'Submit'

5. Download the result and keep a print out for future reference.

Over 13 lakh students, seeking admission to government and private medical colleges in India appeared for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) 2018.

There are over 66,000 seats in medical and dental courses across the country for which candidates competed. 

NEET 2018 was held in 11 languages including Hindi, English, Urdu, Gujarati, Marathi, Oriya, Bengali, Assamese, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada.

Out of total 13,26,725 registered candidates, 7,46,076 were female and 5,80,648 male.

There was an outrage in Tamil Nadu over allotment of NEET exam centres in other states. Over 5,000 students from the state would be forced to take the NEET from Kerala, where 1,20,792 candidates are registered to sit at 226 examination centres.

Some of the Tamil Nadu students also had their centres in states like Rajasthan and Sikkim.

There are 1,07,288 registered candidates in Tamil Nadu who would appear for the test in 170 centres across the state.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K Palaniswami announced that every student from the state who travels to other states to appear for the NEET will be given train fare in addition to the monetary assistance of Rs 1,000 per candidate.

Puducherry Chief Minister V Narayanasamy has also announced a financial assistance of Rs 1,500 to each student allotted NEET centres outside the Union Territory besides travelling allowance.

Narayanasamy asked the candidates to contact his office for assistance even after appearing for the examination for admission to medical courses, which is scheduled to be held tomorrow.

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan had also directed all District Collectors and district police chiefs to arrange help desks at major railway and bus stations in the state to provide necessary help to candidates appearing for the NEET.
