The Opposition has claimed that the NDA's situation has deteriorated after Shah's visit to the state.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah's visit to Patna may have pacified the Janata Dal-United (JD-U), but the saffron party's smaller allies are still making a noise over seat sharing for the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.
On Saturday, Union Minister and Rashtriya Lok Samata Party (RLSP) chief Upendra Kushwaha said that Shah has not declared any seat sharing arrangement yet. "Whether all is well or not and what talks transpired, I have no idea as I was not here," he said when asked about the situation in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Bihar. He denied any talks regarding seat division having taken place between the BJP and his own party.
Kushwaha added, "In an alliance, unless and until representatives of all constituent parties sit together at a table, hold discussions and decide on something, I feel the talks will not be complete."
It may be mentioned that on his recent visit to Patna, Shah did not meet representatives of either RLSP or Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan's Lok Janshakti Party (LJP), though he held talks with the latter some time ago. Sources said Shah's meeting with the JD-U though has been fruitful and talks over seat sharing would also be held soon.

"After Shah's visit, those people who wanted to fight the Lok Sabha polls on a JD-U ticket are worried about what seats they will get and on what basis they will seek votes. Politics cannot be done while sailing on two boats," Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee (BPCC) President in charge Kaukab Quadri said on Saturday.
Former Bihar CM Jitan Ram Manjhi said Shah's visit was only for giving psychological treatment but nothing has been finalised. "Fight over seat sharing is still on. I believe Nitish Kumar is trying to sail two boats," he said.
