As BJP-Shiv Sena power tussle continues over government formation in Maharashtra, the latter's leader Sanjay Raut is continuing his attacks on ally BJP.

Raut has reiterated that Shiv Sena's is firm on its demands. "There is no new proposal over the government formation and we will go forward with our demand of sharing the chief minister's post for 2.5 years each. If the President's rule is imposed in Maharashtra then it will be an insult to the peoples' mandate," Raut said.

Sanjay Raut also shared a tweet saying those who don't do anything, do great things.

Shiv Sena has said that it is now focussing on implementing its plan-B which is seeking talks with Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) led by Sharad Pawar to form the government with the outside support from the Congress.

An NCP leader had previously said that they will take a positive note if Sena approaches them for a non-BJP government formation, however, the party hasn't confirmed anything over its support to Shiv Sena if at all it ditches the BJP.

Congress has still not cleared its stand and is unlikely to offer even outside support to Shiv Sena due to ideological differences between the two parties.

Meanwhile, according to sources, NCP has given a proposal to Shiv Sena over sharing chief minster's post for 2.5 years each.

According to NCP's proposal, first 2.5 years there will be a Shiv Sena chief minister and another 2.5 years an NCP CM.

Apart from this, the Home Ministry, Urban development ministry, Revenue, Finance, PWD ministries will be divided equally between the two parties.

NCP has also asked Shiv Sena in its proposal that the latter party will have to withdraw from one cabinet seat in the Modi government and break its alliance with the BJP. Shiv Sena's Arvind Sawant is the Minister of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprise.

Sources further say that Sena may take a decision on NCP's proposal by Friday.

In other developments, a core committee member of Shiv Sena's Yuva Sena Rahul N Kanal has said soon Aaditya Thackeray will be witnessed taking oath in the Shivaji Park.

"God willingly!!! Waiting to hear these words and see the spectacle again at the same spot where our guiding light left for heavenly aboard and his blessings are with one and all... with the responsibility to serve our beloved Maharashtra!!! God is Great, Jai Hind Jai Maharashtra," he said in a tweet.

As the impasse continues on government formation, incumbent chief minister Devendra Fadnavis met RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat in Nagpur on late Tuesday night. The meeting lasted for over an hour.

Earlier, Fadnavis who met Amit Shah in Delhi on Monday spoke to media and said the new government in Maharashtra will be formed soon. However, he declined to comment on statements from Shiv Sena leaders.

The new government formation continues to delay, however, some significant development is expected in the next 48 hours as political movements are slowly grabbing pace in the state.
