Nashik: Lovers end life after parents refuse to get them married

Two young lovers in Nandurbar district allegedly committed suicide by jumping into Tapi river here after they failed to get their parents' permission for marriage, police said on Friday.

The incident took place on Wednesday at Sarangkheda on Burhanpur-Ankaleshwar road, near which the duo ended their lives, said Sambhaji Pawar, Police Inspector of Dondaicha police station said.

The bodies of the duo were found by fishermen in Sarangkheda yesterday and fished out. Subsequently, they were handed to their respective parents after postmortem, police added.
