BJP Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi’s rally on December 29 at Ranchi would target corruption and the Jharkhand government’s alleged indifference that forced industries to close or shift to other states, a party leader said.

Among others, even the country’s leading automobile company Tata Motors was repeatedly undertaking block closures, but the government was not taking any steps to allow breathing space in the prevailing economic scenario, senior BJP leader Saryu Rai told a press conference here.

Referring to VAT, which automobile companies claimed to be the highest compared to other parts of the country, Rai said if that was so, the government should have taken initiatives to reduce it to protect industries.

The Vijay Sankalp rally would be a historic one and prove to be a turning point in the state’s politics, he claimed.
