Congress leader Rashid Alvi, today said that even though PM Narendra Modi talks of zero tolerance against rapes, he has a minister who is summoned on rape charges.

Alvi was referring to Union Minister Nihal Chand Meghwal who was on Thursday summoned by a district court in Jaipur to appear in a rape case in which he and 17 others have been charged.

Modi, on Wednesday, had urged lawmakers to work in conjunction to safeguard women.

He warned them against "politicising rape," saying that they were "playing with the dignity of women."
