The Aam Aadmi Party claimed on Thursday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi follows a BJP IT cell member, who hurled abuses at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal through Twitter and also said that the AAP chief should be shot at. AAP leader Ashutosh questioned whether by following such individuals on Twitter, Modi endorses such people and their views. He said the BJP IT Cell members were issuing threat at the behest of the party top brass.

Ashutosh also claimed that sources in the security agencies have told them not to hold rallies during the night time and avoid travelling by road. Interestingly, on Wednesday, in an outburst, Kejriwal had claimed that Modi "can go to any extent and may get us (him and volunteers) killed".

"By following such people does PM Modi endorse such views that are expressed by these people? They should be arrested at once," Ashutosh said.

Elaborating on the issue, Ankit Lal from the AAP's social media team said Nikunj Sahu trolled the AAP chief, hurled expletives and said he should be shot at. This was in reaction to Kejriwal's tweet after AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan's arrest on July 24.

On Sahu's Twitter page, he describes himself as a "Desh bhakt#RSS #VerifiedSanghi, IT Cell - @BJP4India, Born BJP Karykarta, NaMo Bhakt."

Ashutosh said another Twitter account by the name Startup India, which is the official handle of the NDA government's flagship initiative retweeted an expletive and a threatening tweet. "The official account of Startup India is following such people and retweeting tweeets that are like threats in nature," Ashutosh claimed.

Lal said another individual named Mahaveer, who is also followed by PM Modi, Union Minister Giriraj Singh and Dharmendra Pradhan hurled abuses at AAP activists on twitter. "He was blocked by the Twitter, but then Union Minister Giriraj Singh urged Twitter India to reactivate the account," Lal said.
