Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Narayan Rane has alleged that Uddhav Thackeray and his family tortured Balasaheb, and warned the Sena chief to 'keep his mouth shut' or face consequences as he will 'reveal all'.

Rane made the claim while speaking to media persons in Sangli. "I have seen with my own eyes how Uddhav and his family had tortured Balasaheb," reported IANS quoting Rane.

The former Sena leader also warned that if he (Uddhav) does not keep his mouth shut and conspire against him, he won't hesitate to expose them.

"When Balasaheb was alive, I never troubled him in any manner. On the contrary, I have witnessed all the goings-on at their home Matoshree', and I will definitely reveal everything. Their allegations (against me) are wrong and I have said this in the past."

Rane's statement came against the backdrop of the Shiv Sena reportedly pressuring ruling ally Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) against inducting him as a minister.

The 65-year-old Maratha leader, who was the chief minister in 1999 while in the Shiv Sena, had formed his new political party, Maharashtra Swabhiman Paksh, which became a part of the NDA

Rane also claimed he will become a minister in 2017 itself and there was no pressure on him from the Shiv Sena.

"I will become a minister in 2017 itself irrespective of the Gujarat Assembly poll results. From what I have understood by talking to the Chief Minister, I will be asked to join after the BJP forms its government again in Gujarat," Rane said.
