The mystery ‘hug’ girl of viral Eid Milan video from Uttar Pradesh’s Moradabad has finally come forward.

The teenager has been identified as one Alisha Malik. The girl shot to fame after her June 16 video showing her giving hugs to several men outside a mall in Moradabad went viral.

In her unique ‘Eid Milan’, Malik offered to hug young boys if they come in queue. Soon, the queue swelled with many boys making a beeline for the girl’s hug.

However, now Malik is under immense pressure. Many people have criticised her act and said that she has tarnished her family’s reputation.

But the teenager insists that she did no wrong. ‘I had no wrong intention. I hugged 100 people to wish them Eid Mubarak. I had not done it for publicity. My family is getting messages about how I have ruined the reputation of the family and religion. I don't know how and why that video has gone viral,’ Malik was quoted as saying to news agency ANI.

In the video, she is shown giving hugs with a smile to young Muslims boys one by one. The sensational Eid Milan went on for over an hour but the young girl did not disappoint anyone standing in the queue.

There was a huge crowd gathered outside the mall to witness the unique ‘Eid Milan’ hosted by the courageous girl challenging the fatwas issued by clerics making ‘hijab’ mandatory for all community girls after they attain puberty.

Many of them were seen making videos on their mobile to capture every moment of the special Eid Milan.

“It was a great surprise for all of us. We didn’t expect a young girl from the community will hug us on Eid with a smile,” chuckled Asif (22). “I got the best of the Eidi of my life” were some of the reactions which came from the boys.

Some of the community elders, however, objected to the sensational Eid Milan hosted by the girl in public. “Its unIslamic and we will complain to the parents of the girl,” said an elder in the crowd.
