Mumbai: Ten minors sodomize friend in Andheri, held

In a shocking incident, ten minors were caught on Monday for allegedly sodomising a 15-year old in Andheri.

The accused juveniles had allegedly exploited the victim several times on various occasions and had also filmed the act with victim and blackmailed him.

According to the Andheri police, the victim and the accused (who are in the age group of 15-16) are known to each other and resides in the same locality.

Recently, the accused juveniles found the victim loitering alone in Mograpada area of Andheri East and seized the opportunity. They took turns to sexually abuse the victim, while one of them filmed the entire incident on a mobile phone.

"The teens later blackmailed the victim and abused him several times in shanties and roadsides on the secluded spot on different occasions by the accused. They also threatened him that if he revealed about the incident to his parents he will be either killed or his video would be posted on Facebook or porn sites," said a Andheri police officer. 

He added, a local resident who also works with an NGO learnt about the incident and convinced the victim’s family to lodged a police complaint.

Pandit Thorat, Senior Inspector, Andheri Police station said, "We have registered the case under section 377 (unnatural sex), 34 (common intent) of the Indian Penal Code and relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. The ten teenagers were produced at Dongri Children Home and have been kept under observation there."
