A 22-year old girl allegedly wrote “Cat's throat slit by Kashif” on a door of a 39-year-old neighbour after her Persian cat was found dead in a posh building at Bandra. The sentence was written using a red paint. The neighbour alleged that the girl later assaulted him and vandalised his car.

Kashif Ehsan Khan, a resident of Mimi apartment at Turner road in Bandra (W) was shocked to find a graffiti on his door with sentence that 'Cat's throat slit by Kashif' written in red paint with the pug marks drawn alongside. The Persian cat was found dead in the passage around 7 am on Sunday.

"She complained to the police that I killed her cat and after finding her dead she damaged my car and brought the spray paint and wrote absurd sentence on my door. We approached the police in this regard", said Kashif Khan.

The Bandra police later hauled both of them to the police station and registered the complaint against the girl. Pandit Thackeray, Senior Inspector, Bandra police station confirmed the incident and said, "We have got post mortem of the cat conducted and have got cat’s viscera collected and sent for forensic analysis at Kalina Laboratory."

"On getting the medical reports it will be clear for us to take a call whether an offence should be registered for the death of cat,” said Thackeray.
