The Unit III of Mumbai crime branch on Thursday raided a godown in Dharavi and seized alleged meat and organs of cow and bull which were to be exported to Vietnam.

The police raided the godown based on an information and arrested three people in connection with the case. The accused were identified as Shamshad Azad Qureshi, Ashrafali Bakreidan Miya and Mohammed Sartaj Kalu Qureshi.

According to the officials, they received an information that a huge cache of meat of cow and bull was stored in a godown located at Ibrahim chawl, 60 feet road near Kattiwadi in Dharavi.

"Acting on a tip-off, we raided the place and seized the meat and organs believed to be of cow and bull which were to be exported to Vietnam," said an officer. He added "We believe that the approximate value of the meat would be around Rs14 lakh and total weight is around 6.5 ton. Further investigation is on."
