Mumbai rains: Mumbai-Ahmedabad Shatabdi Express cancelled for second day in a row - List of all affected trains here

Heavy rains in Mumbai have forced cancellation of several trains including Mumbai-Ahmedabad Shatabdi Express.

The Mumbai-Ahmedabad Shatabdi Express was cancelled for the second consecutive day on Wednesday due to water-logging in Mumbai after heavy rainfall in the city. 

Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Mumbai Division of Western Railway, said in a series of tweets that both up and down Shatabdi Express between Mumbai and Ahmedabad were cancelled. 

Besides the Shatabdi Express, a few other trains have also been cancelled due to water-logging on tracks. 

"Trains are running on restricted speed only between Churchgate - Bhayander section. Further, positions of trains may change, depending upon the weather conditions," DRM WR Mumbai Central (@drmbct) said in a tweet.

2. 12009/Shatabdi Express (Mumbai Central - Ahmedabad) 

3. 12010/Shatabdi Express (Ahmedabad - Mumbai Central) 

4. 12921/Flying Rani (Mumbai Central -  Surat)

5. 12922/Flying Rani (Surat - Mumbai Central)

6. 59023/Valsad Express (Ahmedabad Junction - Mumbai Central)

7. 59024/Valsad Express (Mumbai Central - Ahmedabad Junction)

8. 12933/Karnavati Express (Mumbai Central - Ahmedabad Junction)

9. 12934/Karnavati Express (Ahmedabad Junction - Mumbai Central)

10. 12931/Double-decker Express (Mumbai Central - Ahmedabad Junction)

11. 12932/Double-decker Express (Ahmedabad Junction - Mumbai Central)

The WR had on Tuesday announced the cancellation of 11 express trains during July 10 to July 13 because of waterlogging on tracks, while Central Railway (CR) announced the cancellation of five mail trains from July 10 to July 11, as per the statements issued by both the railways.

Around 2,000 passengers of two Mumbai-bound trains, that got stuck between Nallasopara and Vasai stations of the Western Railway due to waterlogging this morning, were rescued by the NDRF and the police.

The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), the police and fire brigade personnel rescued all the 2,000 passengers of Shatabdi Express and Vadodara Express, a Palghar district official said.

The services remained suspended between Nallasopara and Virar stations for the entire day on Tuesday, causing huge inconvenience to daily train commuters who travel on the busy western line.

A total of 150 suburban services remained cancelled.
