Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi slams Congress for washout of Monsoon Session of Parliament

Hitting back at the rival party, the Minister of State for Minority Affairs also made an allegation of "corrupt practices" by former Congress ministers. "I ask the entire lot of 44 Congress MPs, particularly Sonia and Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge and Ghulam Nabi Azad as to why they have never delved into the unpardonable and corrupt practices of former Congress ministers," he said.

Strongly criticising Congress for the washout of the entire Monsoon Session of Parliament over allegations against senior BJP leaders, Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi has said that the opposition party could not prove "bungling of even a single paise by our ministers".

The Union Minister alleged that Congress's stance during the Monsoon Session was the reason behind the disruptions which held up legislative proceedings. The complete washout of the Monsoon session was "an act of vandalism", he further charged. "They (Congress) forget that the 2014 drubbing showed them to stay quiet, but they continue to insult the popular mandate," he said.
