Updated : Apr 01, 2017, 09:42 AM IST
External Affairs minister Sushma Swaraj has on several occasions won Twitter because of her prompt replies to people who are stranded both in India and outside the country.
Recently, three women approached the External Affairs Minister regarding issues they faced in their marriage. The first woman, Richa Patel, said that she had been married to a man who went to the United States, leaving her behind with her in-laws who were harassing her. Patel also claimed that she had no whereabouts of her husband. Desperate, she contacted Swaraj, who almost immediately responded.
@SushmaSwaraj @SushmaSwaraj dear mam me bhi apko tab tak tweet karti rahungi jab tak ap javab nhi dete me bhi har nhi manungi....

Seeing the prompt action, two other users, Swati Singh and Jyoti Pande, also tweeted to Swaraj sharing their grievances. The external affairs minister patiently responded to their queries and assured them of action. Pande said her husband worked in New Zealand and her visa application had been rejected on three occasions. Swaraj then asked her to email the form to her, following which she said she would help her. Meanwhile, Singh, too, had expressed a problem similar to Patel, and Swaraj asked her to send details.
