Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co Ltd (MSEDCL) is planning to fill 164 vacant engineering positions and has released a notification for the same. MSEDCL, also known as Mahavitaran, released a notification for the recruitment on its website mahadiscom.in on October 16. Those who are interested to apply can do so before November 6.
Of the 164 vacant positions, 37 are for Executive Engineer, 37 are for Additional Executive Engineers, and 90 are for Deputy Executive Engineers.
The recruitment process will have two phases. The first phase is an online exam which will be held in the month of November. The admit card for the online exam will be issued 10 days before the exam. The second phase will include an in-person interview which is likely to be held in December.

Executive Engineer - Upper age limit: 40 years, Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering/Technology (B.E./B.Tech.), Experience: 9 years of work experience in power sector
Additional Executive Engineer - Upper age limit: 40 years, Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering/Technology (B.E./B.Tech.), Experience: 7 years post qualification in Power Distribution
Deputy Executive Engineer - Upper age limit: 35 years, Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering/Technology (B.E./B.Tech.), Experience: 3 years post qualification in Power Distribution
Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for the candidates belonging to backward class and applying for the post reserved for backward class.
