Madhya Pradesh High Court today directed the state government to submit a list of retired IPS officers by November 10 to be included in Special Investigative Team (SIT) to oversee the probe into the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) scam.

The court had on November 5 ordered constitution of the SIT to oversee the ongoing Special Task Force's (STF) probe into the alleged scam relating to use of fradulent means in premedical tests and recruitment to government services, while disposing of petitions filed by Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh and others seeking a CBI probe into the matter. The court had earlier fixed November 7 for constituting the SIT.

A division bench of Chief Justice AM Khanvilkar and Justice Alok Aradhe here directed the government to submit the list of retired IPS officers by Monday. The SIT will be headed by a retired high court judge whose name will be announced on November 10.
