The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education was established 51 years back in 1965. It has been conducting class 10 and class 12 exams since then.

The Board was founded for the promotion and development of Secondary education in Madhya Pradesh. Its main job is to prepare the academic curriculum and conduct examinations for state level High School Certificate (HSC or Class 10) and Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC or Class 12).
