MP: 1 killed, 36 injured as bus collides with truck

A person was killed and 36 others were injured today when the bus in which they were travelling collided with a truck on the National Highway number 27, about 10 km from the Sagar district headquarters.

The victims were returning to Deori after attending a program of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan here, said the district collector Vikas Narwal.

Of the injured, condition of five persons was serious, he said.

The deceased man was identified as Rewaram Jatav (58).

State Home Minister Bhupendra Singh visited the injured persons in the hospital.

The Minister announced aid of Rs two lakh for the kin of the deceased, Rs 50,000 each for those injured seriously and Rs 15,000 each for others.
