department has predicted rain and thundershowers across the
state in the next 48 hours.
Heavy to very heavy rainfall has been forecast for some
places in the lower and mid hills, the department said.
Though Dharamshala and its surroundings which are the
rain hub of the state went dry yesterday, rainfall occurred at
most places over Himachal Pradesh, the Met said.
Shimla recorded 57 mm of rainfall followed by Nagrota
Suriyan in Kangra 52 mm, Kasauli 45mm, Sangrah and Solan 44 mm
each, Jubbar Hatti 43 mm , Dharampur 42mm, Kahu 38mm,
Naina Devi 32mm and Janjehli 30 mm.
There was no appreciable change in the minimum and
maximum temperatures.
Kalpa recorded 12 degrees Celsius the lowest in the state
and Saloni 30 degrees Celsius the highest.
