The noose around former CBI chief Ranjit Sinha is tightening. Transcripts accessed by Zee Business show hawala accused Moin Qureshi informing former Interpol secretary general Ronald Noble about his meetings with Sinha. dna had earlier exposed how Qureshi, the notorious hawala trader was a regular at the house of former CBI director Ranjit Sinha.

The BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) exchanges between Qureshi and Noble throw up startling facts about the proximity of Qureshi with the former CBI chief. Qureshi in a BBM to Noble on April 27, 2013 says, "Met Mr Sinha for dinner and he told me you met him at Lyon. All well. What is the summer plan. I am in Europe. Best regards. Moin'

Lyon, located in France, is the headquarters of Interpol and Noble had been serving as the chief since 2000. Interestingly, the very next year, after even more meetings between Qureshi and Sinha at the latter's residence, Sinha was chosen as India's candidate for the secretary general's post at Interpol. Sinha lost that race to a German cop Juergen Stock.

The former Interpol chief Noble replies, "My brother, yes I did meet him (Sinha). He is very kind. I am always so happy to hear from you. Please let me know when you come to Europe."

It appears that Qureshi was so deeply entrenched in the CBI during Sinha's term and in the Interpol during Noble's term, that he got red alert notices against two of his acquaintances cancelled by Noble.

The red alert notices were issued in the name of two directors of a Dubai-based FMCG company IFFCO group. The two -- Vinod Karnam and Allana Shiraz Abdul Razak -- appear to be close associates of Qureshi.

In his BBM to Noble, Qureshi writes, "There is a very close friend of mine from India living in Dubai. They have a company in Egypt. They have some problem with Egypt police and your office has issued a red alert notice. I will mail you tomorrow morning. Please look into it. Please help."

The former Interpol chief replies, "My brother, hello. Please send the information to my private email account Nobler42@hotmail.com".

Qureshi then forwards an email to Noble sent by Irfan Allana, the brother of Shiraz Abdul Razak.

Noble asks for the passport details of the two men and replies, "Sounds good. If I get it in the next 1.5 hours, I can have my staff look into it."

Qureshi sent this request on December 11, 2012. Within two days Interpol removed both names from its red alert list.

On December 13, 2014, Qureshi again BBMs Noble, "Just now I have learnt that the names have been taken off the list in Dubai. Please confirm."

Noble replies, "As I said they do not exist as far as the Interpol is concerned. Warmest regards."

Qureshi BBMs: "Thank you brother for all your help. Regards, Moin"

When asked about his interactions with Moin, Noble said, "If you are suggesting that Interpol Red Notices were dropped at the request of Moin Qureshi, then I categorically reject it. At no point during my time as Interpol secretary general did any person advise me that Moin Qureshi was under criminal investigation by any governmental agency. I learnt about the investigation of him from the Indian media."
