Modi, Vajpayee share a 'common' DNA: Union Minister Harsh Vardhan

Narendra Modi and Atal Bihari Vajpayee have a "common DNA" in their desire to make India a world guru, Union Minister Harsh Vardhan said on Wednesday.

Vardhan, who holds the portfolio of Science and Technology and Earth Sciences said, Modi has inherited the legacy of the former Prime Minister.

"PM Modi has inherited the legacy of another great Prime Minister whom we know as Atal Bihari Vajpayee. During his tenure, phenomenal work was done in the field of science, he gave importance to science.
Narendra Modi ji has the DNA of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Both have a common DNA in that the two wanted to make India a world guru," the minister said.

"He (Vajpayee) had to stop his work mid-way and it was unfortunate for the country. Now, it is the (good) fortune of the country that Modi ji has got this responsibility," he said.
