Gujarat High Court after admitting a plea against PM Narendra Modi in a case of violating the poll code has now recalled its order on the same, reports a leading daily.

PM Modi had breached the poll code by taking a selfie with the party symbol and holding a press conference in his constituency on the eve of 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

The complaint against Modi and its revision was filed by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) member, Nishant Varma. He did so after an Ahmedabad rural court judicial magistrate put away his request for adding charges against the PM.

The HC judge recalled the admission after the Gujarat government said that it wanted to place several authorities which did not accept the demand to add more chargers against the former state CM. The state government also said that it wanted a chance to be heard before the HC admitted the plea.

The next HC hearing is on October 6 and the state could argue its case on that day.

Verma had filed a complain against Modi in the police but the crime branch gave a clean chit to him.
