Modi’s cabinet rejig: Nine new ministers to be sworn in tomorrow at 10:30 AM tomorrow

On Saturday, various sources indicated that nine new ministers would be inducted into the cabinet. Among them would be Shiv Pratap Shukla from Uttar Pradesh, Ashwin Kumar Choubey and RK Singh from Bihar, Virendra Kumar from Madhya Pradesh and Anantkumar Hedge from Karnataka. Others believed to be in the list are former IFS officer Hardeep Singh Puri, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat from Rajasthan, Satya Pal Singh (former Mumbai Police Commissioner) and Alphons Kannathaman (Kerala).

This means that the cabinet will have two ministers from Bihar and UP, and one each from MP, Karnataka and Rajasthan. The cabinet will also include  four senior bureaucrats including two current MPs. 

Amit Malviya, in-charge of BJP's national IT cell later confirmed that nine ministers would be taking oath tomorrow and tweeted their names: 

Meanwhile President Kovind said that swearing-in ceremony would take place at 10:30 AM:

"The new ministers are going to be strategically placed in key ministries, especially focusing on last mile delivery directly to the people," a source said.
"As a part of the restructuring, six incumbent ministers have resigned," the source said.
