Actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha, who was not present with Prime Minister during the programme in Bihar, on Wednesday heaped praise on Narendra Modi saying, "our dynamic PM has taken the initiative in bridging the gaps and moving towards consensual politics".

Singh's comment has come after the BJP said that the public display of bonhomie between arch rivals Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was a reflection of the spirit of 'Team India'.

Taking to micro-blogging site, Sinha said, "I am sorry I could not be there with our people, with our progressive PM and our  development-oriented CM Nitish Kumar. Bihar is my strength and my weakness and I always want to be working for its betterment."

Sinha's was not able to make it to the PM function in Patna and Hajipur on March 12, after his elder brother Bharat Sinha's former wife Sheela Sinha was found hanging at her residence in Gurgaon.

He further added, " I am also delighted that our dashing, dynamic PM has taken the initiative in bridging the gaps and moving towards consensual politics."

Sinha also expressed his concern about the condition of Mahatma Gandhi Setu.

He said, "While talking of bridges, I am greatly concerned about the condition of Mahatma Gandhi Setu, the lifeline connecting North & South Bihar. It is in urgent need of repair & strengthening. Hope, wish and pray that the much needed, desired and deserved package and financial support is made available soon so that the repair is initiated at the earliest - sooner the better."
