Keeping up the tirade against the Congress, BJP chief Amit Shah on Wednesday credited Modi government for allocating Rs 25,000 crore more amount than the previous Congress government under the heads of share in central taxes, grant in aid and State disaster relief fund.

Shah is on a two day visit to Uttarakhand which is part of his 110 day extended stay programme across all States.

Speaking at a press conference in the State capital Dehradun, Shah claimed that during its short rule of six months Trivendra Rawat run BJP government has improved the situation in the State by ending rampant loot in the mining sector and by putting tight leash on the liquor mafia.

"The Congress-led UPA government under the 13th Finance Commission had allocated Rs. 15,965 crore to Uttarakhand whereas on the recommendations of 14th Finance Commission, the Modi government has allocated the state Rs. 41,665 crore for the next five years, which is thrice the amount allocated by the 13th Finance Commission," said Shah.

He doled out names of various schemes like Solid Waste Management, Prime Minister Housing Scheme, Amrit Mission, Soil Health card, traditional irrigation scheme etc for which the Modi government has given more money to Uttarakhand than the earlier government.

Shah said the Modi government has given Rs12,000 crore for all weather road and the 900 km long all weather road for the Chardham yatra will help tap tourism in Uttarakhand.

Shah claimed there has been a complete change in country's situation for good during the three years rule of Modi government as it has given a corruption free transparent and decisive government in place of 10 years corruption ridden rule of Congress that was suffering from policy paralysis.

Praising PM Modi, Shah said, "He gave the ex-servicemen the right to live with dignity by agreeing to the demand of one rank one pension that was pending for the last 40 years and proved India's mettle before the world like USA by launching surgical strike."
