DMK working president and opposition leader MK Stalin on Saturday urged Governor C Vidyasagar Rao to dismiss the Edappadi K Palaniswami government in Tamil Nadu following the revelation of horse-trading by the ruling AIADMK during the February 18 trust vote in a sting operation.

After his failed attempts in the Tamil Nadu Assembly to raise the issue of horse-trading, Stalin called on the Governor at the Raj Bhavan on Saturday evening and submitted a memorandum seeking a CBI probe into the allegation, and an investigation by the enforcement directorate on the money trail, in addition to registering a case against all those involved in it.

Stalin said that the sting operation has proved that the government won the trust vote through horse-trading. "That's why we demanded the secret ballot. But, our demands were rejected," he said, pointing out that now two AIADMK MLAs — SS Saravanan (Madurai South) and R Kanagaraj (Sulur) — themselves stated in the video that money was promised to the legislators to vote in favour of the government.
