Weeks after a 72-year-old nun of a convent in West Bengal was gang raped, yet another missionary school received threat letters demanding the closure of the school.

St. Capitanio Girls High School, Nagrakata at Jalpaiguri district in West Bengal received a number of threat letters demanding that the school must be closed down and the nuns leave the school.

The school administration lodged a complaint on March 22, following which security has been beefed up outside and adjoinjng areas of the school. Police has even set up pickets outside the school.

"Police pickets have come up at St.Capitanio Girls High School in West Bengal's Jalpaiguri district after the school's principal Sister Anice Jacob lodged a police complaint on March 22, stating that they have received a number of anonymous threat letters," said a statement from the Jalpaiguri district police.
