Minor stabbed allegedly by a jawan during rape attempt

A 17-year-old girl was stabbed allegedly by a jawan after she resisted his rape attempt in Biralsi village of the district, police said on Friday.

The incident took place under Charthawal police station area when the girl, a student of eleventh standard, was alone in her house. The accused identified as Mukesh Kumar entered the house and allegedly tried to rape her. When she resisted him, the accused allegedly stabbed her, they said.

The injured girl has been admitted to a hospital, police said adding, investigation is on.
