Minor girl murdered in South Goa, body found floating in well

A seven-year-old girl was allegedly murdered and thrown in a nearby well in South Goa district, police said on Thursday.

"The body was found floating in the well in Curtorim village of South Goa district. Prima facie it looks like a case of murder. The medical report has ruled out rape, but we have still asked for a detailed examination," police inspector Harish Madkaikar said.

The body was found floating yesterday, following which police have began rounding up suspected people in the village, around 40 kms from here.
Further investigations are going on into the matter and efforts were on to nab the culprit.
