Lutyens Power corridors are abuzz with talks about the sensational leak of a WhatsApp message inadvertently posted by a senior journalist in a group which exposes unholy alliance between two high profile journalists, a powerful central minister, and an IRS.

It all started when a web portal brought to light how two senior journalists, one from a leading English daily and the other from a magazine, allegedly used their position to transfer the posting of an IRS official abroad. The senior journalists, who reportedly share a close rapport with the central minister, wanted a particular IRS official to be appointed abroad for a crucial posting.

The position, which they were eyeing for the said officer, is very crucial in India's fight against black money. The leaked message indicates that such was the resolve to placate the demand made by the senior journalists that the key aide of the central minister went on to suggest the removal of other officials to facilitate the posting of the IRS official in question. This is not the first and neither will it be the last case of dubious roles played by power brokers in transfer postings. Now, there is a curiosity in these power corridors to find out how PM Modi will react to the incident.
