Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Hooda on Tuesday laid the foundation for the Kaithal-Rajasthan border section of National Highway 152/65, at Kaithal in Haryana.

Speaking at the foundation laying ceremony, Modi said that he had the the fortune to live in Haryana for a long time, learnt a lot from it and will return all the affection with record development. Modi also pressed issues of development mentioning the importance of roads. "I have come from the land where Swami Dayananda Saraswati was born and is widely respected in Haryana," he informed.

"The huge crowd gathered here shows the importance of development in the lives of the people," Modi noted.

On road development projects, he said, "Like we have arteries in our bodies, we have roads in our country and they act as arteries. When the road network improves, development also increases. We can't do with infrastructure of last century. A contractor comes and builds a road which gets destroyed in monsoon. We can't work like this. The chance of development increases in the nation that gives impetus to infrastructure, be it roads, rail or airpot. If the road network increases the avenues of development also increase."

"Connecting Haryana to Rajasthan is not only about cars passing one way from the other. It is good for commerce, he stated.

He also bemocked the nation's careless attitued towards ending corruption. "Mera kya and mujhe kya attitude has ruined the nation. We need to free nation from corruption. This menace of corruption is so dangerous that it can destroy the nation. The nation can't bear injustice any longer now."

"Some Central schemes that had to be completed have not yet completed, but  I assure that we will try to ensure they are completed," he promised.

"Be it the State or Central Government, let us work together for the development of Haryana," he added.
