Do you remember one of the most popular movie 'Dr Dolittle' where the lead character used to share his home with all kinds of animals including dog, chimpanzee, parrot and others and had a special connection with all of them? Well, this story of a woman in Mumbai's Juhu is quite similar to the movie. In a heartwarming story, a 37-year-old woman lives in her 200-sq ft room with 70 cats and 3 dogs, according to a TOI report. All the pets have been rescued by her, she is sheltering the cats which have either been injured or abandoned by others. She knows if any of them are hungry through their facial expressions or meowing.

And that's not all. Cina Shivdasani, who works at a pet store, also shares her room with her mother and a caretaker. Shivdasani and her family love the cats and dogs so much that they do not mind when the animals are all over the place. They can be seen everywhere in the room - the kitchen shelf, cupboards, desks, under the bed.

The cat lady, however, once got into trouble with her previous landlords for her love for those pets. Life was not easy for her when she stayed in rented accommodations in Madh, Oshiwara, Taloja and Kharghar.

In Madh, Shivdasani's landlord tried to throw out of the house by disconnecting electricity supply for 52 days. There was also police intervention in the matter which later got her evicted due to an order from Mhada Component Authority Court in Bandra (E).

"Officials from Marve Police Station would often knock on my door and there were inspections from the animal welfare officers too. Finally, the Mhada Component Authority Court ruled in favour of the owner and I moved into my mother’s house with 70 cats,” she was quoted as saying by TOI.

So how does she do it? Maintaining those pets' lives can be really expensive and a challenging. At 7 am, she wakes up and prepares food for those 73 pets. Every day, she spends Rs 400 on their meal including fresh fish and dry fish, chicken and five-kg rice.

Hats off to this woman who manages her life and those pets so well when some of us find it difficult to maintain only one life.
