Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati today declared Arvind Sharma to be her party's chief ministerial candidate for Haryana, on the occasion of the latter joining the BSP, switching from the Congress.

Addressing a press meet, the BSP chief said, "If our party wins in the upcoming Haryana polls, Arvind Sharma will be our Chief Minister candidate."

She also added that if her party comes to power in Haryana, it will look after the interests of all sections of the society including people hailing from the weaker sections, minority community as well as upper castes.
