most places in Haryana and Punjab today hovered close to

normal limits.

Hisar in Haryana registered a high of 34.3 degrees

Celsius, down two notches against normal after light rains,

while Ambala recorded a maximum of 34.5 degrees Celsius.

Karnal recorded a high of 33 degrees Celsius.

In Punjab, Amritsar recorded a high of 34.7 degrees

Celsius.

Ludhiana and Patiala recorded maximum temperatures of

34.1 and 35 degrees Celsius respectively.

The MeT department has predicted rain and thunder

showers at many places in both state over the next couple of

days.
