Massive 918 kg Khichdi cooked in a giant 'kadhai' creates Guiness World Record!

It's official now! Khichdi, the humble comfort food, created world record with massive 918 kg cooked in a giant 'kadhai' on Saturday.
The record was made during the World Food India 2017, the mega show organised by the Ministry of Food Processing Industries and the CII.
It all began at the Great India Food Street stall located at the India Gate lawns in the heart of national capital on Saturday. More than 1,000 kg of khichdi in a giant 'kadhai' or wok of 7 feet in diameter was cooked.
The prepartions were done overnight supervised by celebrity chef Sanjeev Kapoor. Yoga guru Ramdev added 'tadka' in the khichdi.

Ingredients like rice, moong dal, bajra, jowar and Indian spices were steam-cooked. The cooked khichdi will be distributed to at least 60,000 orphan children as well as the guests present at the event. The khichdi will also be distributed to the Heads of Foreign Missions along with the recipe.
Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur was jubilant over the record and congratulated everyone for the feat.

Sanjeev Kapoor also tweeted the moment when the Guinness Records official made the announcement.
