Four persons allegedly broke into a gurdwara in southeast Delhi's Ambedkar Nagar area and decamped with cash and jewellery today.

The accused allegedly broke open the main door of Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sasha and also took away the DVRs of the CCTV cameras, besides the cash and jewellery, police said.

Police suspect the incident happened in the wee hours.

According to the representatives of the religious place, jewellery worth Rs 4 lakh and Rs 1.5 lakh in cash have been stolen.

While the burglars allegedly took away the DVRs, police have found that four masked men had entered the gurdwara premises.

It is suspected that the accused knew about the placement of the cameras.
