Telugu Desam Party leader N Chandrababu Naidu said on Tuesday that he waited for four days to meet prime minister Manmohan Singh and that he was not given an appointment. He warned Singh that it was this neglect and humiliation of Andhra leaders that led to the emergence of NT Rama Rao and the consequent trouncing of the Congress in 1983. He warned Singh that the Telugus will not forgive the arrogant attitude of the central government.
Naidu wanted to meet the PM to submit a memorandum expressing his party’s dissatisfaction with the new Krishna river water tribunal headed by Justice Brijesh Kumar. Now that Singh had refused to meet him on such an important issue, Naidu couriered the memorandum to the prime minister.
