'Manage Babina MLA, BJP district prez if you want to save yourself': UP cop's audio clip 'fixing' encounter goes viral

While the Uttar Pradesh government is facing oppositions' fire over the law and order situation in the state, an alleged audio clip of a police officer striking a deal with a proclaimed history sheeter has gone viral.

According to reports, in the audio clip, Station House Officer (SHO) Suneet Kumar Singh is heard sharing clues of expected police action and alerting murder and extortions accused Lekhraj Singh Yadav.

The season of encounters is on.... Your mobile number is under surveillance and you will be killed soon. I will advise you to manage Sanjay Dubey (BJP District President) and Rajiv Singh Paricha (Babina MLA) to get some relief. Or else anything can happen, an SHO was heard telling the accused, said reports.

According to The New Indian Express, the SSP Jhansi, Vinod Kumar Singh has suspended SHO and a probe has been ordered against him.

"It is a serious matter. We have ordered a probe under an IPS officer." Kumar said.

The undated audio clip is being said to be a few days old when Lekhraj had called up the SHO seeking his help after getting a hint of police action, a report said.

In February, two men in Noida Sector-122 were allegedly shot at by a sub-inspector of the Uttar Pradesh police, leading to the suspension of four policemen on Sunday,

Meanwhile, two separate encounters broke out between the police and the criminals in Uttar Pradesh's Azamgarh on Sunday, wherein two criminals were injured.
