Pune saw yet another case of familicide as a 38-year-old man allegedly killed his wife and two daughters before committing suicide in Warje area. According to Pune police, they have found a suicide note in which the person mentioned financial issues as a reason for taking the drastic step.

The deceased have been identified as Nilesh Chaudhary (38), his wife Nilam (33), and daughters Shravani (9) and Shreya (7). The incident came to light late night on Friday. Chaudhary was into plastic remoulding business. His body was found hanging from ceiling while bodies of his wife and kids were on the bed.

According to Uttamnagar police, Chaudhary had left the main door open before taking the drastic step. "On Friday late night, one of the neighbours found the main door open and found bodies. He immediately alerted police," a police officer of Uttamnagar police told DNA.

Police have sent all the four bodies for postmortem to ascertain the cause of death. "There is a possibility that the man might have given poison to his wife and daughter," the officer said.

This is not the first case of familicide in Pune. Last month, Jayesh Patel and his wife committed suicide after their son died of an illness.
