Man fails to cope up with cancer trauma, kills self

A 35-year-old man today allegedly committed suicide here by hanging from the ceiling fan at his home, after failing to bear the trauma of cancer, police said.

The man was identified as Purushottam Nagar, a resident of Doberi village under Kanwas police station area in the district, Udhyognagar ASI said.

He was living at a house in Affordable Housing colony in Kota, the ASI said, adding the preliminary investigation revealed that he was suffering from cancer and was in agony.

No suicide note was recovered from the room, he said.

The man had unsuccessfully attempted suicide a couple of times in the past.

The body was handed over to the family members after postmortem and a case under CrPC section 174 (unnatural death) was lodged in this connection, the ASI said.
